Job description

Job Title: Senior Software Developer (C#, MVC)
Department: Development
Reporting to: Lead Developer

The Department
Product Development creates and innovates the software needed to run our global online B2C gaming operations, including systems for Customer Service, Marketing, CRM, brand website development, DWH/BI, web analytics and the supporting frameworks and tools for one of the largest global online gaming groups. Our dynamic environment is fast paced, using Agile and self-organizing principles for our teams to deliver the highest quality new products.

Purpose of Job
The team is working to create a greenfield CRM application based in the cloud. We have the challenge of replacing a mature legacy system with a Dynamics CRM implementation. Due to the huge amount of data and complexity involved, we are continuously coming up with innovative solutions to the technical challenges we face. As a result we are using an event pipeline with scalable micro-services to serve micro-sites using service discovery to augment the user experience.

As a team we collaborate well and are looking for a great team player, one who is willing to offer opinions confidently and hear others out. We value everyone's input. As a Senior Software Developer, you should be comfortable mentoring others, as well as being able to pick up from other team members information about the existing systems.

We take pride in what we create and take ownership of the solution from end to end. We have a great deal of say in the implementation of the user’s requirements because of the way we work in SCRUM. Everyone on the team gets the opportunity to work on everything - so everyone is encouraged to work across the full technology stack. We also have the ability to use the latest and greatest in software and technology such as VS 2017, ReSharper, Dynamics Online, nCrunch, Cassandra, Consul and ELK.

Essential Criteria:
• Deep knowledge of C#
• Experience with Asp.Net MVC and JavaScript
• Development experience with SQL Server
• Experience with service oriented applications (WCF or Web API)
• Very comfortable with Unit Testing
• Proven ability to work with systems which have large back ends with complex processing
• Solid commercial use of source control (ideally git)
